Using Adobe Fonts on Your Website

When you purchase an Adobe product, you receive a license that grants you the right to use Adobe software and services—including fonts that your website may be using.
When Spindogs designs a website, we use our own license during the build. However, once your site is live, you'll need to switch to your own license. Here’s how you can do this:

If you already have an Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) license, you’ll need to provide us with the code snippet to connect your site to your account.

How to Get Your Adobe Font Code:
1. Log in to your Adobe CC account
2. Go to Adobe Fonts
3. Find and select your font family. PLEASE NOTE, MUSEO IN THE SCREENSHOT IS AN EXAMPLE AND IS NOT NECESSARILY THE FONT YOUR SITE USES.
4. Click “</> Add to Web Project” in the top-right corner

5. Create a new project ensure all the font weights used on the site are selected (if in doubt select all)

6. Once created copy the full code from the grey box and send to Spindogs. You can copy by pressing the icon on the right of the grey box

Option B: Sign Up for an Adobe CC License

If you don’t have an Adobe CC license, you can sign up for any paid Adobe CC product to gain access to Adobe Fonts. This will be a recurring fee to keep using the fonts on your website.

Option C: Purchase the Font License Directly

If you don’t want an Adobe CC subscription, you can buy the font license directly from the Typography foundry. We can help source the right fonts and provide pricing.
Font licensing costs vary based on usage and page views, but buying the font outright can often be more cost-effective than an Adobe subscription if you don’t need their other services.

Option D: Use a Free Alternative Font

We can find a free alternative font for your website. However, this will require design and development time, and it may change the overall look and feel
of your site.
